Madani case: 2 people booked

Madikeri : Police Inspector General A S N Murthy today said cases have been booked against two people for entering Kodagu in the guise of journalists and trying to destroy evidence against terrorist Madani.

Addressing reporters here this evening, Mr Murthy said a group of people had visited Kodagu and tried to destroy evidence against terrorist Madani.

The accused had visited Hostota where terrorist Nazir was staying.

Two cases are booked at Somwarpet and Siddapur police stations under section 506 IPC. The district Crime Branch police were asked to investigate, he informed. He said the names of the accused were kept as secret as the investigation was going on.

Superintendent of police Manjunath Annigeri, Dy SP J D Prakash and SI Durga were present.
