Bihar election results: Lalu’s era ends

The latest trends and results have been predicting end of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s era in Bihar.

Nitish Kumar’s wave outclassed RJD-LJP and Congress in the state. NDA has been heading towards landslide victory in the Bihar Assembly election 2010.

NDA has won 202 seats while RJD has won 26 seats. The poll results are severe jolt to the Lalu and Ramvilas coalition. In the outgoing assembly, RJD had 54 MLAs but it seems that their representation in the new assembly is sliced down significantly.

Now it is crystal clear that, JD(U)-BJP combination holds the key to form the government in the state.

The mandate is clear that, Lalu’s caste politics has been completely rejected by the Bihar voters. What is crucial in this election was, people voted for development sans religion and caste.
